Reno Sculpture Festival is calling all larger-than-life sculpture artists to submit their awe-inspiring creations! Share with us so we can share with thousands in the streets of Downtown Reno from May 12 – 14th 2017!
Submit your applications by March 15th (Extended to March 20th!) to be part of our 2017 event.
Reno Sculpture Festival is seeking to award up to 30 Sculptures for exhibition at Reno Sculpture Festival, May 12 – 14th, 2017 in downtown Reno, Nevada.
Eligibility: Reno Sculpture Festival (RSF) is focused on promoting and encouraging Reno-based artists, but do award grants to artists based outside the region and therefore encourage everyone to apply. RSF is primarily focused on pre-existing sculptures, but do occasionally award grants for new sculptures. Art Cars are welcome to apply. Sculptures that are build to promote K-12 in-school engagement are highly-encouraged to apply.
Specifications: Sculptures that are modular, temporary, interactive and community based will be given priority. It is preferred that sculptures range from 6ft – 25ft in diameter, and are freestanding – but exceptions can be made.
Delivery: Selected sculptures must be ready for installation during the week of May 12 – 14th, 2017 in Reno, Nevada. They must remain in exhibition for the duration of the event. Sculptures must be de-installed immediately following the festival, although Reno Sculpture Festival strives to find extended temporary placement for sculptures in the Reno area.
Selection: All submission will be notified on March 15th that the sculpture submission was received, with grants finalized between March 15 – April 1st, 2017.
